Network Marketing Tip – Overcoming Objections

I’m asked so many times how come it’s so difficult overcoming objections at the end of a presentation.  It has taken me a lot of presentations to build
up my belief that overcoming objections are simple.  Here’s how I did it and you can too!

Whatever your prospect’s objection, ask them a question.  That’s right, it’s simple, ask them a question.

For the longest time I would just “throw up” all over my prospect.  You know what I mean when I say “throw up” don’t you?  I was not listening; I was more concerned to make sure to say what I wanted to say and what was important to me.  Going into your presentation knowing this simple tip will get you excited about overcoming objections.  Your new perspective will result in start new relationships and closing more prospects into your business.

Let me give you an example of asking a question.  When your prospect says, I’m not sure I can do what you’re doing.  Simply say:

“What part of what I’m doing do you think you can’t do?” Let them answer so you can get to the root of their concern.

Overcoming objections is simple when you ask a clarifying question to your prospect.  Your prospect may say, I don’t have the time to do this.  Simply say:

“What do you mean you don’t have the time, what’s going on in your life that you have the impression you don’t have time to build this business?”  Let them answer so you can get to the root of why they don’t have time.

I’ve worked with so many people over the years who are now overcoming objections like these. For my coaching clients it has become as natural as breathing.  It’s reframing the question back to the prospect so they can tell you their story.  When you ask the prospect to say it again and this time go deeper into what they mean often times they start realizing that their objection is not a very good reason. With the new information you can continue with:

“How much longer are you going to allow (fill in the objection) to continue and stop you from reaching your financial goals and the dreams you have for you and your family?”

Be strong, stand firm and your posture will carry you through overcoming objections at the end of your presentation. Right now is the time for you to implement this tip so that overcoming objections comes natural.  Your business will see the results of this simple tip on overcoming objections.

When they say YES get them started as you have been trained. You want the answer to be YES but if it happens to be no, then consider it a “no, not now”.  Situations change circle back to them at a later date. End by saying –

Thank you for your time, I value your time and opinion. I am excited about what I am doing and since we are (friends, co workers, family), I am sure you will want to hear about my success as I want to hear about your successes and what you are doing in the future. Again thank you for your time.
