Network Marketing Tip – Overcoming the Objection – It Is Not The Right Time For Me

How many times have you successfully completed your presentation and your prospect replies –  “It is not the right time for me”. Very frustrating,
right?

Here’s how to turn your prospects response from “It is not the right time for me” into “YES  I am ready to get started!”

Simply say to the prospect:

“Outside of it now being the right time, do you see this opportunity being the vehicle that can enable you to reach your financial goals and dreams for your life?”

Prospect will then say yes, “It is not the right time for me”.  Continue with:

“Follow me for a minute… getting positioned within the team is critical because I’m going to show this business to thousands of people over the course of the next 2-5 years and hundreds over the coming months.  By getting in now and started on the products will enable you to get familiar with the product and start to become a testimonial of the product.  Then when you are ready to start building the business you will already have a tremendous advantage over someone just starting out”

If you are currently with a company that has a binary compensation plan, your new prospect could already have team being built on one part of their leg while they start on the product.  If this is true with your companies compensation plan, tell your prospect that. That way while your prospect is busy doing whatever it is that is stopping them from getting started in the business now they can be positioned for success. Then when they are able to devote time you can build it with you.

The goal here is to get your prospect engaged and paint a picture of how they can become a product of the product and not have to build the business at this time.  As they get results on the product it will draw them into the business quicker.  You should also provide your new prospect with company info, testimonials and drip on them with training event details.  All of this will make it so much easier for your prospect to get engaged in the business sooner rather than later.

Another approach when your prospect says it is not the right time for me is to ask a question :

“What’s in the way from getting started now versus at some point later, because when you say it is not the right time for me tells me you want to become part of the team there is just something in the way, correct?”

Your prospect will tell you what is keeping them from starting now and give you the opportunity to address their concerns.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised that your prospect sometimes needs some minor clarifications  to enable them to make a decision to say YES and you can provide it to them right there on the spot.

When they say YES get them started as you have been trained. You want the answer to be YES but if it happens to be no, then consider it a “no, not now”.  Situations change circle back to them at a later date. End by saying –

Thank you for your time, I value your time and opinion. I am excited about what I am doing and since we are (friends, co workers, family), I am sure you will want to hear about my success as I want to hear about your successes and what you are doing in the future. So we are certain to continue to be connected. Again thank you for your time.
