Network Marketing Tips – How to pick a network marketing company. So you are ready to make the wise decision to join network marketing (also known as Direct Sales or

MLM)? Picking the right one can set you up for success, picking the wrong one will leave you disappointed with a bad taste in your mouth. I picked the right one the first time and had a good run. Unfortunately the company was a start up and closed within 5 years. Luckily I had a good experience and knew it could work so I tried again. It took 12 more tries before I found the next winner! If you currently are in a network marketing/direct sales/MLM company and not sure that you picked the right one this tip can also help you. This is what I learned about picking the right network marketing company. You can have what you believe to be the best company, management team, customer service, compensation plan, corporate training, products or service as they are all important when it’s time to decide on a network marketing company. This tip is a big one – there are 2 things that are even more important than comparing those items mentioned above.

2 important tips on how to pick a network marketing company are:

  1. Your commitment – You have to make the decision to be in it for the long haul.  Decide how many hours you are going to build your business and understand what you put in is what you should expect out.  Meaning if you put in a part-time effort then in the beginning you can’t expect a full time income.  The key here to ask yourself whether or not you intend to be working in the company for at least 2 years, but plan on 5 years from now.  Because the investment in most network marketing company distributorships is so low it’s easy to walk away when you don’t have the results you are looking for.  If you paid $100,000 for your distributorship you would not quit. Network Marketing distributorships should be started as a supplement to your current income and built over time.
  1. Find the right upline/sponsor support.  Building the business on your own is tough.  If you are searching for the right company, put at the top of the list to find the right support team members.  Find out if they have a time tested proven training system (hopefully online) that you can follow step by step.  Use your upline support’s success stories in the beginning until you have a level of success where you can share your story.  Ask them how long they have been in, how much money they have made, how long it took them to make that money, what they like best, what they like least, and do your research to find out if there has been any recent shipping or other company issues. Don’t place too much on an issue that happened 2 years ago, any company goes through transitions but you just want to come into a company that has been through the bulk of those issues. People like being part of a team. Find the right team that you can work with and feel part of something special.  I have been doing this for a long time so if you need some suggestions let me know.
